Design for resilience.

LA County House

This comprehensive remodel of a 5,085–square–foot residence was driven by the client’s desire to completely transform the interior while strengthening the home against future wildfire threats. The renovation reimagines the space with a focus on lightness, clarity and resilience.

  • Heavy walls were pared back to create a more fluid, open–plan layout, allowing natural light and movement to flow freely throughout. In place of the layered architectural elements that had accumulated over the years, the new design introduces a palette of refined, understated materials. Both fresh and timeless, each new space brings a sense of calm and cohesion into the home.
